if you came here from another subdomain and are just curious as to what leakcenter.org is, well here you are!
this is a semi-webring passion project ran by a very small group of people with the sole purpose of being an "umbrella" to host their services, and since we aren't a huge hoster yet, we allow others to link their sites to our subdomains!! our sites strive for IE8 compatibility, since the original project that started all this was supposed to be a drop-in replacement for the Discord web client to be used on browsers like lynx or the Kindle browser, where a very small memory footprint is required so the entire device doesn't explode
how did this start?
this project started as an inside joke from a friend group, and the rest is history
how can I take part in it?
the only requirement is that you have a static IP or are using a dynamic DNS service. be wary, there are a few rules which need to be followed. they are listed in order.
- the subdomain, and the content hosted in the aforementioned subdomain must not harm anyone, and must not break the law.
- you must not defame the Site, or any of its associates.
- gore, csam, abuse, hate speech and "lolcow" material is forbidden.
- you have the legal requirement to remove content on your subdomain if it violates any of these policies, and notify the webmaster within 48h.
- the owner of the root domain (webmaster) is not responsible for anything.
- it is mandatory to have a contact e-mail which should not be hard to find, and which should not point to the webmaster's. it's your site, not theirs.
failure to follow any of these rules will result in subdomain removal, and your IP will be blacklisted forever. you shouldn't think it's private info anyways
it is greatly recommended to "theme" your subdomain(s) in a way to be recognizable. for example, the root domain and a simple messaging app client share the same theme, thus they are made by the same person.
